Maternity Pay

You can take up to 26 weeks' maternity leave, during which you will be entitled Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP). SMP is paid at the rate of 90% of your average earnings for the first 6 weeks, and at a fixed rate (currently £106 per week) for the remaining period. For further details, contact your Human Resources manager.

Paternity Pay

You can take up to two weeks' paternity leave (in addition to your normal holiday entitlement) within the period of 56 days from the date of birth of your child. You may take either one week or two consecutive weeks' leave (but not odd days). You are entitled to full pay for the first week, and Statutory Paternity Pay (currently £106 per week) for the second week. For further details, contact your Human Resources manager.
